Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. The son of Manny James along with Patty James of mixed race. He is the son of the Nigerian father and a Caucasian mom. In 2010, he graduated at Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics in the year 2015. James was initially known for his role as the reality show's Bachelorette's star. In 2020, he was picked to be the 25th season bachelor of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show premiered 2021. James was the best choice for the role, since he's rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krkconnell was selected to be his partner for the entire season. James danced with Arnold who was popular during the time, to take part in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were 12th in the show.
