Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz as a child. Her roles included lead characters in TV dramas as young as the age of 16. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was critically as well as commercially acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is well known for her involvement in many important projects in both the US and internationally.
